Today we traveled up to Johnston Ridge Observatory to see Mt. St. Helen’s. It was fascinating and a really factual and interesting experience!

- The gum wall… Ewwww! There was an alley way underneath the market and the walls were covered in gum. So what do you do but add your own?
-
- For lunch we ate at Piroshky Piroshky! It was delectable, and your taste buds melted in delight!?
-
- There were also musicians who had half an hour or so to perform in a central area, some of them were rather interesting, but there was an amazing piano player, that was, well, amazing!!!
-
- Next stop, the Ballard Locks. We got lucky, so just as we arrived there were some boats pulling in. They closed the gates then fill up the tank, so that it was at the same level as the water on the other side, then opened the opposite gate, and they glided out safe and sound. All in all we had a lovely time, thank you SOOOOOO much, Kim!

- Friday we went out on the boat again, and this time we went under the floating bridge. Flying along on a lake is So much fun and extremely scary, especially when there are other boats out on the water that make BIG waves. You are flying along, laughing and yelling(the females anyway…) and then all of a sudden you scream because you realize the next wave is a six foot drop. It’s SO much and I love it!

- Another bridge we traveled under had a see through bottom, making you wonder if the car was going to make it all of the way across.

- Fresh fish and chips, right on the lake. You pull up, dock your boat, then go get lunch, so cool!

- The ducks and seagulls ate your leftover fries, right from your fingers! It was really cool to see!

Thank you SO much! I hurt it earlier on in our trip. I just stepped into a hole, that I didn’t see, and it rolled. A pathetic but painful story…?

Sorry I am late ! Your blogs bring back many memories. I remember when Mt St Helens blew. Then there were tracts written about different ones who were warned to get off the mountain & didnt! Sad consequences.
