Hills Alive

Amazing! That is the word to describe the Christian music concert, Hills Alive. But I’ll get to making all of you jealous in a minute…?

Every year, around April or May, I ask my parents, “So… Are we going to Hills Alive?” If they say, “We’re not sure,” I try to think up as many amazing reasons as I can to get them to go. If they say “No,” I’m devastated – and I might just ask them a couple more times, just in case they change their minds…? And if they say, “Yes!!!!!!!” Then I give a big whoop, and go see if any of my friends are going.

Now, what exactly is Hills Alive? It is a free christian music concert in Rapid City, SD. It’s got food vendors, free bouncy castles, you can even try out some of Scheel’s merchandise on the pond in the park! And they always have an amazing lineup of artists! This year the two ‘closers’ were Crowder and Matthew West! One of the perks from attending is the awesome suntan you get…? I’m kind of serious, but not really because the best thing is standing at the stage, jammin’ with your friends!!!

When I looked out my window on the way to Rapid City and saw all the hay bales I was so excited!!! It made me feel so close to home!

Everyone brings their lawn chairs and coolers, and relax. Sometimes there’s around 20 000 people in the park all for the same reason – a concert honouring God!!! It’s amazing! ?: Mariah

This photo represents the five families that were at Hills Alive that I knew – including mine! There’s Emma, Jesse, Adrian, and Mariah!!! It was so much fun getting to hang out with them! Plus, I hadn’t seen them in a year, so it made it all the more fun!!!

Who doesn’t love glow sticks? If you don’t, don’t tell me, and we can still be friends…? For the last performers of the day us kids all used glow sticks!!!

You can even go and get the artists autographs and talk to them!!!

I think it is so amazing to be worshipping our King under the stars with 20 000 other Christians!

Maybe next year you can join us…
