Everyone Stay Calm… And Wear Your Seatbelt

I GOT MY LICENCE!!!!!!!! Well, my learners licence, but same difference! I can now drive as long as I’ve got a supervising driver in the car!!!! I’ve driven four times since I got my licence yesterday morning. Every time was amazing! And Dad is even letting me drive the truck! Plus, now that I sit in the front I get a heated seat!!!!?

On Wednesday, November 1 it snowed!!! We woke up and there was a tiny bit of snow on the ground! Me, having not seen snow for around a year-and-a-half ran outside to feel the beauty God sends us every year. And yes, my hands froze…?

When we got home from school that day the snow was several centimetres thick! I had Driver’s Ed homework to do – but Cassia and Lanaya went out and played in the snow!

This is our epic hill (before the snow…) that we cleared and mowed! Cassia and Lanaya had a great time flying down it and I can’t wait until Dad gets rope for the rope tow!!!!

This morning we woke up to a couple more inches of snow so the rest of the family got outside to do a couple things around the yard – and I got outside to take some pictures. My shoes are one of my favourite parts of winter… Walking around wearing mukluk’s is kind of like walking around with a blanket wrapped around my feet!?

Diesel grows so much fur when it comes to winter… Every springtime when it comes time to shed all of it – it looks like he’s losing a ton of weight!

IMG_5163

Pounding reflective posts into the driveway because we wouldn’t really know where the road is other wise…? Correction, Dad was pounding the stakes – Lanaya would carry them for him and then sit and watch him.

Check out the snow flying as Cassia snaps her arms together. We now have some random snow angels all the way down our driveway.?

Lanaya got caught sitting on the hood of the truck cleaning the snow off of it. It was appreciated – she was just sitting on the windshield wipers…?

Oh, and last night was our SS Treat Program! (It’s basically a Christmas Program, but not centred around Christmas.) We have different themes each year and this years theme was; Jesus: His Life for Ours. Every year the teens sing a song – this year it was amazing!

Now, I’ve got some more big news!!!! My parents are planning a marriage cruise through their business, OYF Communications in February of 2018!!!! It’s not a counselling cruise but a cruise to help you make your marriage even better!!! For more information, because they say it so much better on their website, head on over to their page: The Marriage Cruise for Smart Couples and read all about it!!!

Nice to see you enjoying your “first snow”. Love the mukluks! Hope it doesn’t snow here in central Maine yet. I still have bulbs to plant. Congrats on the license. When I was learning a friend told me that , not always to brake, but to steer away from dangers. Enjoy the journey, but always be mindful of what’s ahead, behind and around you.

Ooooo…I enjoyed that singing! Well done! Nice to pick out your face and Cassia’s and some others that I recognized. Right now it’s 33 degrees C here so it’s hard to imagine snow! xo
