A Circus, the Waves, and a Pool

Wow!!! I cannot begin to describe the awesomeness, and amazingness I’ve seen and experienced this past week! …And if those aren’t words, they are now…? On Thursday night I went on a daddy date! I went to a circus on Friday, and gasped in fright, dropped my jaw in awe, then laughed till… well… till I stopped I guess…? On Saturday I went surfing, and caught some waves, then experienced nature’s sinus rinse, very painful might I add… And then squealed in excitement when I finally caught my first wave!??‍♀️ On Sunday I tasted some more Venezuelan food, AM-AZ-ING!!!? And then the rest of the week was spent relaxing at the pool, soaking in the sunshine, and having a blast!

Fried Ice Cream is a wonder in itself… How do you deep fry something that’s frozen and not have it melt?!?!  I don’t know, but I do know that it tastes really good! And I know that when I picked up my fork and took a bite that the ice cream was solid and that it tasted delicious! And do you see the size????!!!!?????

We can’t take pictures inside the circus… But after a delicious supper at the Cheesecake Factory, and picking up some Starbucks, we enjoyed the Cirque de Soliel, and all of the incredibly talented people in it! Because as Dad says, “When we go out, we go all out.”? The funniest part was the clowns, the scariest part was the bikers, or else the trapeze artists, and the easiest looking thing was the trampolinests. They all made it look so easy!!! And one other super cool part of the show was the guy who wrapped two ribbons around his wrists, and then jumped and swung out over the crowd! It was all just so WOW!!!

Ack!!! Can you believe we couldn’t take any photos during our surfing lesson!??? But at least we got a picture of the food!? Surfing was amazing. That’s all I have to say. When I finally stood up on the board and caught my first wave, it was beautiful!!!???? I just had this amazing feeling rise inside of me, and when I finally fell off, I was ready to go back out and do it all over again! Plus my teachers were amazing!!! If you’re every taking surfing lessons in Florida, I would recommend looking up Ron Jon Surf Shop! The two ladies knew what they were doing, and taught me lots! Now it’s time to brag about my family! Cassia and Lanaya caught the first wave, and went on to catch the next and the next! Dad was a natural as well, he was catching his own waves “like a boss” and he looked mighty impressive surfing in on all the big waves without wiping out!!! And Mom and I seemed to catch the same waves all the time, but from what I saw she had some pretty cool moves herself! And after surfing lessons for two hours we were starving and exhausted, so we stopped for lunch at a local restaurant which was delicious!?

And then for supper we met up with Marvin and Marlene, and James and Nellie Dyck. This also was along the beach, a few hours away, and the sunset was beautiful! And with good company, good food and a beautiful setting, it was a great end to an awesome day!

On Sunday Mom learned how to make empanadas! Super delicious!!! The easiest thing to describe this food is that it’s sweet and savoury all rolled into one bite!

And, too bad for us, there was a Krispy Kreme right outside the gate of our campsite…? So on Valentines Day Dad took us girls there for a doughnut and a coffee! Delish!?

Hey guys this is Cassia! I was reading over Raquenna’s shoulder and I just wanted to add something: Raquenna bought us girls beautiful roses ? for Valentine’s Day. I love that girl!? (I am hoping to dry mine. But I’m not quite sure how to truck them six months all the way back home!?Especially with my parents wanting to throw them out!??)

And now to finish off this post, I’m just going to mention to you guys that when the weather is 30C (85F) the pool is a great place to spend your day! The pool was heated to the perfect temperature!? It was such a relaxing way to spend our week!
